Privacy
Your privacy matters to the Chamber.
What the Kerman Chamber of Commerce collects on this website, why, who sees it, and how to turn analytics off. Written in plain language.
Last updated: October 13, 2026
1. The short version
- We collect what you type into our forms, so we can answer you, process your membership, or send the newsletter you asked for.
- We use Google Analytics to see which pages are useful. It is on unless you turn it off with , and it is off automatically if your browser asks sites not to track you.
- We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing executive.director@kermanchamber.org.
2. Who we are
This website is run by the Kerman Chamber of Commerce ("the Chamber," "we," "us"), a 501(c)(6) business association at 783 S. Madera Ave, Kerman, CA 93630. The Chamber decides how the information collected here is used. Questions or requests about your privacy go to executive.director@kermanchamber.org or (559) 846-6343.
3. What we collect, and why
- Contact, sponsorship and event RSVP forms. Your name, email address, and what you write or choose (such as a subject, a sponsorship level, or how many people are attending). We use it to reply to you and to plan events. Please don't include sensitive details such as health or financial information.
- Membership application. Your business name, addresses, phone, email, website, owner and contact names and titles, number of employees, business type and category, year established, social links, description, chosen dues level, optional donation, and preferred payment method. Fields marked "as you want it to appear on our website" are published in our public member directory. This website does not take card payments; we send an invoice or payment link afterwards.
- Newsletter. Your email address, so we can send Chamber news. Every issue has an unsubscribe link, and you can stop at any time.
- Analytics. Pages viewed, how you found us, device and browser type, and an approximate location (city level). See section 4; you can turn it off at any time.
- Technical data. Like every website, our hosting provider receives your IP address and browser details when you load a page, and keeps short-lived logs to run and protect the site.
- Staff and member sign-in. Chamber staff sign in to the site's content manager. A member account area is built but not yet open to the public; when it opens, it will store your name, email, communication preferences, and a securely hashed password (never the password itself).
Form submissions go through a secure form service run by Imaginarii LLC, our web developer, which emails them to the Chamber office. A copy is kept in the website's staff inbox so Chamber staff can follow up.
4. Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to see which pages people visit, so we know what is helping Kerman businesses and visitors and what isn't. It works by saving a small cookie in your browser.
Analytics is on unless you turn it off. You can do that anytime with the link at the bottom of any page, and we'll stop collecting that information and remove the cookie. Google keeps analytics data for 2 months (our GA4 data-retention setting), then deletes it. Google's advertising features are turned off, so nothing on this site is used for ads.
What this site stores in your browser:
- kcc-consent (browser storage): remembers your analytics choice. Kept until you clear your browser data. Strictly necessary.
- _ga, _ga_* (Google Analytics cookies): count visits. Only while analytics is on; deleted when you switch it off.
- kcc_cms: keeps Chamber staff signed in to the content manager for up to 14 days. Set only for staff who sign in. Strictly necessary.
- kcc_member: will keep members signed in for up to 14 days once the member account area opens. Strictly necessary.
Our contact and event pages show a Google Map, and the footer shows our Better Business Bureau seal. When those load, Google and the BBB receive your IP address and may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.
5. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
If your browser is set to ask websites not to track you, using either Global Privacy Control or the older Do Not Track setting, we turn analytics off for you automatically. You can still switch it on yourself with Cookie settings if you want to.
6. Who we share it with
Information is only handled by the providers that make the site work, for the purposes above:
- Imaginarii LLC builds, hosts and maintains this website for us as our service provider, and delivers form submissions to our inbox.
- Vercel, Inc. (hosting and file storage) and MongoDB, Inc. (the website's database).
- Google LLC for analytics and maps.
- Resend to deliver the newsletter, when the Chamber sends one by email.
- The public, for member directory details you ask us to publish. Please don't put anything in those fields you don't want shown.
We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as California law defines those terms, and we have not done so in the past 12 months. We do not share it with anyone for their own direct marketing (California's "Shine the Light" law). We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the Chamber, our members or the public from harm.
7. How long we keep it
Form messages and RSVPs: as long as we need them to follow up and keep ordinary Chamber records. Membership records: while you are a member, and afterwards as long as our tax and record-keeping duties require. Newsletter address: until you unsubscribe. Analytics: 2 months. Hosting logs: a few days to a few weeks. Then we delete or anonymize it.
8. If you are outside the United States
This site is run from the United States, and our providers process information in the U.S. If you visit from the European Union, the UK or elsewhere, your information is transferred to the U.S. We rely on the safeguards our providers offer for those transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, where they apply.
9. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to do any of the following, and we will not treat you differently for asking:
- Know and access what personal information we have about you, and get a copy.
- Correct information that is wrong.
- Delete information we hold about you, unless the law requires us to keep it.
- Withdraw consent at any time, using Cookie settings or the unsubscribe link in any newsletter.
- Opt out of any sale or sharing. We do neither, and we honor GPC and Do Not Track automatically.
California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. You may use an authorized agent to make a request for you.
People in the EU, EEA and UK also have the right to restrict or object to our use of their information, to data portability, and to complain to their local data protection authority.
To make a request, email executive.director@kermanchamber.org. We may ask for information to confirm who you are, and we will answer within 45 days (or one month where the GDPR applies).
10. Children
This site is for businesses and the community. It is not directed to children under 13 (under 16 in the EU), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, email executive.director@kermanchamber.org and we will delete it.
11. Keeping it safe
The site runs over HTTPS, staff sign-in is protected, passwords are stored only as secure hashes, and access to submissions is limited to Chamber staff and our web developer. No website can be perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update it here and change the "last updated" date above. If we add a new kind of tracking, the analytics notice will appear again so you can choose. Using the site is also covered by our Terms of Use.
